Discover the little-known world of the Rainbow Caves

The Rainbow Caves are situated on Isabela Island and hold the key to unravelling the geological mysteries of volcanic caves around the world. We will be accompanied on the expedition by renowned geologist and volcanologist Dr Theo Toulkaridis who will introduce us to the story of the geological formation of the caves and the amazing ecosystems that they have supported from pre-historic times to the present day. Our journey will also take in the volcanic wonders of Galapagos and its unique and abundant wildlife.

Join the community redefining exploration.

The Rainbow Caves expedition is not just about the journey but those traveling alongside us. By joining us you will be welcomed into a growing movement of individuals aligning their purpose with the need to understand themselves in relationship to the natural world and to protect beautiful and precious environments like the Rainbow Caves. This expedition promises for those who are interested to be just the start in a longer path towards holistic and creative conservation of the world we live in.

Help us to protect Cueva de los Tayos.

While the personal experience into the Galapagos will be forever cherished, this expedition has been set up to fund the research and protection of Cueva de los Tayos, the vast and extraordinary cave system in the south-eastern rainforests of Ecuador.

This precious and fragile ecosystem that is rumored to house hidden artifacts dating back to humanity's earliest ancestors, is under peril and needs to be protected. We have a team of scientists, musicians and artists that are joining forces with the Shuar, the local Amazonian tribe and guardians of the caves, to explore and document Cueva de los Tayos.

This research is helping make our case to UNESCO to secure World Heritage Site status for the caves and develop a sustainable and protective management plan for the site.

Each ticket sale to the Rainbow Caves expedition is making a considerable contribution to ensuring the sucess of the Tayos expedition and UNESCO bid.
